heartburnron: So I thought I was completely in love with Jeanette - until that is until I saw VV for the first time and then I thought no, I'm in love with VV. But then I went back to see Jeanette and fell for all over again - it must be the outfit and pigtails! But then when I went back and spoke to VV again and she done that cute little expression with her eyes and my heart melted all over again!

So the question is Jeanette for VV?
avatar
KiNgBrAdLeY7: Yukie! (Chinatown Ramen Shop and Fishmarket)

Jeanette is insane and tries to have you killed.

VV is a pretender and hypocrite, she uses you like a tool and turns you into an errand clown, with endless demands.

Yukie, on the other hand, is so sweet... She doesn't come after your neck first thing, she doesn't try to dupe you second, either. You help her of your own volition and escort her through a mission of honor. Plus, she has the best under-skirt view i have ever seen (in video games, that is, or else this statement is certainly forfeit) and is a cute jailbait underage teen of exotic beauty (japanese)...

Whoopsie
Yukie? I dont think I met her!! Can't believe I missed that! I did kill a female vampire hunter in china town the first time I spoke with her - is that who you mean? Actually, come to think of it, I didn't spend that much time in china town - maybe I missed out on some side quests expecting to come back naturally in the game...

Also, on reflection, I was expecting to do some mission related to what my malkavian referred to as the black widow - I remember finding and talking to a guy after going through a fence and into a building Downtown but I never actually got the mission or knew what it was about - what did I miss there?

Inside Chiki Mei Mei Ramen shop, girl with katana laying on the table in front of her. Impossible to miss. You talk with her and says she is hunting a demon, to avenge her master. Her up-skirt view is the stuff of paradise. She is THE, bloodlines waifu (tm)!

A yes I remember her now - she was cute and I do remember the upskirt shot! I'm afraid the curse of the malkavian dialogue options ensured that our encounter was brief - she got sliced and diced with my newly aquired sword! I didn't realise there was the option of doing a quest with her though - shame...

Shame, really... That quests gives away lots XP. And if you play the Plus Patch, she then follows you and helps, in endgame chinese temple raid.

Damn. Oh well something else to look forward to when I do replay the game again...

Trust me, you probably missed a lot of things on your first playthrough. I know I did.

If I had to pick one of the gals it would probably be Rosa. Sure she's a thin-blood, but she has a useful power. Also unlike most of the others I wouldn't be worried about her trying to kill me. Not most of the time, anyway.

"Black Widow" too. Did you have anything to do with a very scared paranormal TV guy cowering in the abandoned hospital? She's also a satisfying way of getting rid of a certain whinny ghoul.

Yukie is hell cute, even if she's a walking anime stereotype. Wait, maybe it's because of that. ;)

Rosa struck me as pretty damn hot the first time I met her to be honest. Her predictions are pretty awesome in that they make no sense when you first hear them and yet are totally accurate.

That TV presenter was one of the funniest characters in the game, I'm usually about 50/50 on whether to be just manipulative or downright evil there. The whiny ghoul though - introducing her to BW was immensely satisfying...

Even without the XP that quest is a very interesting diversion. More pseudo-manga action (I won't spoil it), with your character's possible comments afterwards cracking me up for some reason.

No I must have complelely missed that - don't remember finding a TV guy in the hospital at all. I was a bit confused at the whiny ghoul part - I convinced her to go outside the club and then she just stood there - so I clubbed her round the back of the head with a sledgehammer and then ran round the back of the club and in to the sewers - it completed the mission anyway...

"He is Fin-ished... He he, you probably didn't get that, did you?"

Or:

"Be glad that thing didn't have tentacles!"

Right???

How about this...did you find Heather Poe?

I ask because I didn't find her in my first game.

You're just going to have to go back and play the darned thing through again. :)

The name doesn't ring a bell... but yes I will definitely come back to this game but I'll wait a while to try and get through some more of my 80+ games I've yet to play...

Exactly! Especially the tentacle one...

80+ game backlog!? Over how many years of purchases did you manage to get to that level?

Honestly? I had maybe 10 in by backlog at the start of the year - the rest have all been picked up this year! I just can't stop buying games - they're always so damn cheap and there is always a sale on across the many gaming key sites. I just can't help myself - I keep telling myself no more - and I thought I'd cut back a bit this month but i still bought 10 games. Help me!!

Edit: So I just actually counted them up and it's 91 games that I intend to play to completion, so ignoring games I've already tried and abandoned and the little indie games that I got with bundles that I'm unlikely to play right through. I'm also a subscriber to Origin Access so there are quite a few games there I'd like to get round to play... sigh, if only there was pause button...
