So I've been playing for a few days and I'm finally ready to hit the boat and do Elizabethan Rendezvous after covering for Marcurio and talking to Nines. I have the quest in my log. When I get to the beach Marcurio is missing and the boat that you ride to the Elizabeth Dane is nowhere to be seen. Anyone else have this issue? I'm running the basic GOG version and have auto update enabled through Galaxy.

Did you talk to the anarchs first and reported back to the prince? The boat will not appear before he tells you where to find it! Some people cut that section of the game short and this has been fixed...

Is the log description for Elizabethan Rendevous quest like this: "The prince wants you to investigate the Elizabeth Dane. You need to go to the beach in Santa Monica where a boat will be waiting to take you out to the ship. You are to examine the Ankaran Sarcophagus, find out what the police have discovered, and take the cargo manifest for the ship. And above all, try not to go on a killing spree." ?

So yeah, that's what it was. It's been over 10 years since my last play-through so I think that's hurting me more than helping at this point.

In my opinion, the less you remember, the better it is. I take yearly or longer breaks from the game for that reason.

Just some basic, abstract checklist...

Before you take a mission from prince, report to anarchs, grab your share from Venus in Confession, talk to your ghoul in haven and check your emails. In that order.

Right after you complete a mission for the prince, but BEFORE reporting in, do the above again.

Same thing again right after grabbing a new errand for the prince, but BEFORE you travel to the place it is located.

Also, for mercurio, you get an email in your pc, he thanks you beforehand and urges you to visit him. Maybe, you missed that one email? Just a wild guess...

It's about something else. Before 9.5 you could go to SM right after talking to Nines. In 9.5 you have to go back to the prince first and report to him about the chat you had with Nines. Then when you tell the prince you are ready to go to Dane he tells you about the boat in SM and you can go to do the quest. This was changed because:
- you actualy have not been told about the boat in SM until you go back to the prince after talking with Nines
- Dane quest gives story progression so dialog connected to reporting to the prince about chatting with Nines was lost - so it was like the prince sent you to Nines for no reason at all or like he didn't remember about it.

Hi,

I'm actually having a related issue. Upon arriving back at the pier, Mercurio is there, but the pier is kinda fugged up. Yellow abstraction in the background. Anyway, I could jump into the boat and check out the Dane, but now I'm back at the (glitched) pier, I can't leave. There is no exit trigger, I get to the top of the stairs leading to the car park and it's a dead end.

Now, I just moved my save over from a retail version using UP9.4 to the UP9.5. GOG version, but everything was going great until now. I was mostly in the DT hub doing side quests. Now I am truly stuck, however.

Anybody able to assist? Can I use the console to teleport out of the pier?
