Hi, I recently bought the game when it was on sale, when I first started a new game everything worked fine and without issue, however after I closed it and tried to re-load my save data I started having issues with the game crashing. Every time I tried to enter a new area the game would crash during loading. I tried multiple things to fix this including patching, and uninstalling and re-installing. I even deleted all my save data in case the issue was with a glitch in the data. However upon starting a new game the game just started crashing during the loading screen immediately after character creation. Nothing has worked to fix this, please, has anyone found a way to solve these issues?

When did you buy it? Also are you using Galaxy? Can it be that Bloodlines was updated between your sessions? In that case you need to start a new game or revert to the original patch version you started with...

I bought it on Sunday the 24th of March and started it then. I am using galaxy as well. So I don't know if those are the precise issues.

Sadly I don't know when GOG updated to 10.2 so I can't help you either. Or did you listen to ingame music with a media player? This is known to make the game crash. Or did you not always start it from the patch shortcut?

I think 10.2 was before that, I've heard it may be an issue with the music syncing, but no one has been clear about how to fix it, where in settings or system can I try toggling that. I try always starting the app from GoG or doing 'Run as Administrator from my desktop shortcut.

Also, not sure if this helps but this is what the crash log says

Try replacing the 'vampire.dll' file with another one provided. Go go to the 'dlls' folder of your game and rename the file "vampire.dll" to "vampire_backup.dll" or something else. Then change the name of "vampire.dll.d2d" to "vampire.dll". Then start the game. That should fix the crashes.

The Dll in question is located in: X:\xxxxxx\GOG\VampireTMSaga\VtMB\Vampire\dlls Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion, sadly it did not work for me, it seems my problems are quite particular. Thank you very much for taking the time to suggest a possible fix though.

Damn, I was hoping it would work, I wish they didn't auto-install the U-Patch so you can at least troubleshoot it better! Good luck with your search, I'm really sorry it didn't work!
