Hey all. Sorry if this isn't the place to post this or if there's an easy fix to this I should know, but I couldn't find any answers on google and I'm at my wits end trying to figure it out.
I'm a first time player, got the game via gog and playing with the latest version of the unofficial patch. I also experienced this problem playing the legacy (patchless) version.
I was able to complete the tutorial with no major glitches (aside from subtitles vanishing periodically), but upon emerging into Santa Monica I find myself unable to exit ANY conversation I enter into: talking to Knox, the prostitute, or anyone else on the street just gets me stuck in an endless dialogue loop...and there doesn't appear to be any option to just leave the conversation. (I've got a youtube link to an example of the problem, but this is my first GOG forums post so I don't think it will let me include links in posts yet).
I can quit to the main menu with the ESC key, but if I return to the game I'm still stuck. Is this a bug? Or am I just dumb?
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
