Are you running the legacy (vanilla) launcher or the one with Wesp's Basic patch installed? Try running the other one if you can't get the first choice working.

Although this should not be necessary, try running the game as Administrator. If that works, then you probably have the game installed to a write-protected folder and should consider reinstalling elsewhere.

If all else fails, file a support ticket with GOG.

This brings a strong deja-vu feeling; I think it's an old and known problem. I think it goes to blue screen but if you wait long enough, does fine. While both Javokis and Signothorn sometimes monitor this site, Sig owns the other and Javokis moderates the Redemption areas. Both are extremely knowlwgeable with this game and likely can be of great help.

Turns out a windows update from years ago disabled every disc game from running so I had to find no CD cracks for all my disc games. They all had the same problem

Are yo talking about the one from Oct 2015 when they disabled script for disc copy protection? If so, that can be fixed two ways within your computer. Microsoft provided a workaround doument. If it is, let me know and I'll see if I can find it again and provide a link. It's much easier then relying on cracks. I temporarily lost a few games to that one ----.

That is also fixed by the Unofficial Patch which includes a modified exe...

How'd you pull that off? My memory is foggy but the fix as I recall required changing a PC's registry. The other one I didn't like for some reason or other - probably had to redo it every time one logged in or something. Anyway, good one!

Basically one of the Russian modders modified a crack for the patch!
