-1 is merely an off switch for aor difficulty adjustments. Setting to 0 is what makes real adjustments designed to make enemies easier.

[edit]

But there is that issue of the random weapon system - which will make the game harder. I may need to add an off switch for that in 2013.

Just bought this game and playing it for the very first time. Had some issues with autosaving, unable to save games overwritting existing ones and when I loaded a game I found Wilhem without any disciplines nor equipment. That many amount of bugs pissed me off and so I found this this thing called AoR, so I installed it, set difficulty to 0 and surprise, no more issues, at least in the first couple of hours played.
So thanks a lot for bringing this to us. I'm no coming back to that buggy vanilla game and gonna play whole game with this addon :)

Please do it! after killing my first capadoccian I got an absurdly overpowered fire sword and some blue stuff after that one. Not to mention what happens when a mob pops out with that kind of weapon. Killed me in a single blow on one occasion o_O
Awesome guys. I love this game but never got to finish it because of the AI trouble, Downloaded your patch and installing the game now!
Just started playing with AoR today. It seems fantastic in most ways - vastly improved companion AI and much more varied combat (those skeletons with bows are OP though :P ).

However, though my understanding was that none of the questline was changed, I now find that Josef will not let me into his tunnels. Usually he asks for elder vitae, sourced from Ecaterina. With AoR he's asking for the blood of a milkmaid, and the quest tooltip states that I have to use Entrancement on a milkmaid in Golden Lane. Well, I don't have Entrancement...

Am I just going to need to switch on respawning and grind the necessary exp to buy my way up to it? That's not fun.
Unorna sells scrolls for it. Either command scroll or entrancement scroll will work.
Aha, thanks! That's genuinely the first time I ever considered buying a scroll. Nice addition in that sense - blame me for not thinking!
Please give an option to remove bows ability to stake you. 1 skeleton can kill your party if your unlucky, especially early game.
Sounds doable. I can likely do that in a script to disable the staking flag from the arrows in flight.
I'm currently playing vanilla and I'm at the Tremere Chantry. The AI is really getting on my nerves. I don't really care for the combat in this game anyway. Should I install this or stick with vanilla if I want to get through the game as quickly as possible for the story?

Took me somewhere between 5-8 hours to get to this point I'd say. Now that I think about it, I'll likely be quite a bit farther by the time someone responds.

I've decided to make a Let's Play series featuring this mod. You can check it out here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjxohPcWEJg

It includes developer commentary and notes on the plans for AoR 2014. If Age of Redemption interests you, this series of videos are highly recommended.

Not sure if this is where you wanted feedback but --- I personally dislike the idea of making long bows more potent at distance and short bows at short distance. All bows are more powerful at short distance. Historically, long bows were treasured because of their quick fire rate and very high accuracy combined with the ability to pierce light armor. They generally took more strength to pull then a short bow (not that a vampire would care :) ). My advise is to make the longbow able to fire accurately at a greater distance then the short bow (if possible) and to give them some sort of penetration bonus if armor is involved. Again, I don't know if this is possible.
That is possible to make them armor piercing and would be a cool concept to implement. I'll consider putting that in the planner. As for a preferred place to keep post... I don't check GOG nearly as often as my own forum at e-mods.net. I also check the e-mods.net facebook page, which has had at least one seriously active user making tons of comments and overloading my planner. lol. Feel free to join in there too.

From http://e-mods.net home page, you should pretty much find everything I'm doing from there.
