During at least two of the companionquests you will get pints as a Dragonlandcriminal.
While Impirialcriminal can be reduced by sevral Ways i didn't found any way to reduce the Dragonlandcriminal-Rating.

Did i miss something?

I never found a way either, but I also never got any consequences from it.

I assume if it gets high enough for there to be consequences, that at that time we'd be able to reduce it by paying a fine or something?

I suspect that actions related to being a Dragonland criminal are possibly not yet implemented? If they exist I haven't seen them yet...
It is similar to the imperial criminal mechanics, entering dragon towns might be difficult with high rating of dragonland criminal. You can decrease the number in Mines of Plenty for example.

@Lareshill
How? I am at the hightest ranking with both dragonlandfactions and talked to everybody at the Mines, at Salum and the Gates...no option to pay a fine?
I stopped playing Vagrus imo and this DL-Criminal stuff is one reason because doing some companion-questlines give more DL-Criminal rating and without a way to reduce it....

In your case General Angaroth should be able to help you. However he helps only once.
Depending on your actions some companion quest lines adds, others deducts your dragonlands criminal rating.

We still try to figure out new ways to improve the system. Thanks for the feedback!
Hmm, no option.
Either i used it early as i did the sorceress Questline or my "crime rating" is to low to get the dialog because i only got DL criminal rating only three trimes, two times during companion quests and one time during a DL-Factionquest that lowered DL Cl as part of the final reward.

Is there any way to see my criminal ratings? I know it shows a number if i get it but i don't get info about lowering the CR or the current state?

There is no way to see the criminal ratings and actually if you see it change that is a bug.
Ok.
I didn't it very often but every time i killed a Tax collector there was a text with "got x imperial criminal".

You are right, this was unintended. We fixed it and the fix will be rolled out with the next build. Thanks!
Always nice to see a good game being improved but could you ad some hint for the player about his standing with the "Law"? Either placed at the Infos about my Vagrus&cravan or a option to ask the adimistration at the bigger citys.
Because that was one aspekt of the game that layed mostly in the dark during my 2 Playthroughs, you kill a Taxcollector and his guards and pay a fine, a other time you do a quest->get a criminal rating and are hunted while the situation seemed minor or i was without guilt at all and it wasn't even clear why i got criminal points at all.

While the Lore state some corruption or local despotismen, neither Dragonland, Church or Imperial Goverment seem to be lawless or arbitrarily.
I must agree that the "law" seems to be either incredibly incompetent (such as the guards "guarding" the major towns", or supernaturally good (such as whoever the hell it is that happens to notice I bought 3 bags of coffee and 2 bags of spice and some moondust off of some Wraiths in a back alley).

I literally had an entire caravan full of stolen goods, guards gave me no trouble whatsoever (I always seem to have "very high" chances to succeed, and have never been caught smuggling, ever).

But I guy some possibly stolen stuff from some wraiths in an alley? BAM! Sorry, you can't leave town, sort it out with the authorities... I mean it's great that everything is a bri.... I mean "fine" but seems a bit backwards compared to how I'd expect it to go. I would, for example, expect that if I don't have a single caravan slot containing something not illegal, that this would be detected - all they'd have to do is look in ONE container. If they're not even searching anyone, then why is smuggling a thing?
I agree.

The most funny thing I remember from some time ago (a Beta version, thus) was being tax collected on the road, and as I didn't had enough coins, the collectors took some of my goods. Well, I had a run for the Loaders guild at that time, so they claimed a quantity of bogweed. I didn't had the impression that it came to their mind that bogweed is... not a common trading good, so to say.

So it seems a bit erratic at which occasion the criminal rating increases, and decreasing is also a bit obscure...
