For me it crashes as soon as I press F9 to call in a Citadel during the second training mission. I tried deactivating as many other applications as possible, as well as running the game through its original .exe file.

Windows 8.1: Game crashes at end of each training mission.

IronArcturus: Has anyone been able to get the game to work on Win7 64-bit?
I've just checked it on 2 win7 64 bit machines and had no problems <.<
Where does it crash for you? Is it on startup?

Do you have the sky on in game options? Can you disable it and try again?

Vindalou: I can start the tutorial, but it crashes when it brings up the energy triangle, or whatever it;'s called. Also crashed when I pressed esc during a mission.

Both crashes also reset the sound and graphics options.
What system are you on?
Did u make sure there are no background applications running?
Are you playing with the sky off?
Did you change any nGlide settings?

Really weird. The game runs absolutely fine on my early 2015 Macbook air with HD6000,and Win 10 Pro.If this sucker can run it :D,than something is wrong on your side.Maybe your drivers arent up to date? Cheers.

EDIT: I actually noticed that this game has a big problem with RAM memory allocation. It had it back in the day when it was released, where all the 16 mb machines had trouble because of some weird overflow after playing 15+ missions before crashing.Maybe the game doesnt properly detect the vast amount of RAM that modern PC's have.I hope the blue guys can fix this, but it ain't easy.Cheers.

I did eventually get it working on win7-64 after a restart, I guess I might of had some process it didn't like in the background. I was able to play without changing any of the nglide settings, but I was able to turn sky to on and it seemed to work.

That's very likely, good to see you managed to get it working.

I have Win7 64-bit. The game just crashes and gives me a black screen every time. I had no way to use ctrl+alt+del and had to do a hard reboot. Is there any other way to get the game to work?

People who can't get it to work, can't you turn off 1 background process at a time? That way someone might find what or what kind that is conflicting with the game. Start with turning off all of them and see if it works, perhaps?

Also, try the usual. Disable scaling DPI, desktop composition and visual themes then try a couple of compatibility modes.

I was adjusting some settings and I realized that disabling V-Sync in the nGlide Settings seemed to fix the issue. The game finally loads! Did that work for you?

Yes, but it does seem somewhat unstable. I finished Training 1 without issues then I went into Controls to change mouse settings as they are really jerky. Then I start Training 1 again just to test and crashes for seemingly no reason. I haven't quit any background applications yet though.

Well, at least settings save when you quit afterwards as a crash will bring them to what they were before change.

Anyone that is bothered by the mouse should try decreasing acceleration and increase sensitivity, made a world of difference to me.

Yeah, I've had similar crashing problems with the Training missions. Also, have you noticed that the music doesn't seem to repeat? It plays one track and then stops. I think this is a similar music bug that Outlaws used to have.

I think so, it suddenly became quiet and worse, the game has a habit of crashing when I press Escape so I can't go into options to start them again.

Right now I'm setting up controls for my Steam Controller (unbelievable that this game works with it!). After that I'll begin to test what type of application it seems to have a problem with. For example, to make SC work I need Steam overlay and I also MSI AfterBurner OSD to see GPU information in-game and yet, none of that seem to increase amount of crashes.

I honestly don't see how you can play Uprising with a controller. :P You need so many buttons for everything! Not just controlling the Wraith, but calling out various units and citadels, readjusting the shields, and creating bases with the map.

Disabling the sky solved the issue, thanks.
