I recently bought this game because it looked different and interesting and WOW is it fun. I love games that create a "virtual experience" and this one is great at that. I had a couple questions though about it.
1. Right Now, after I finish a mission I delete the logs from the NIC computer in Australia. I delete any logs from my IP, except I've heard that you should leave the last "access" log there so it doesn't look suspicious that there's only a disconnect log there. I delete the one in between those where it says I went to admin level. (I do this as well on any of the places that I can log in to their logs.) Am I doing this right or am I setting myself up for a game over?
2. I notice that when you finish a mission that "target computer/server" is still on your list, though it may be "switched off" of the main map. My first instinct would be to reuse every one from all the missions to create a giant chain of computers so that my trace time would be longer...is there any reason not to do this? Will it somehow pinpoint my gateway if I go overboard? And will it put the blame somehow on them, turning my "attitude" meter into "evil" status? Because I'd rather stay neutral or good.
3. I bought the "Internet Chat" software from the uplink store assuming it was an ingame feature, but I noticed that the requirements say "The local machine must be connected to the internet". Considering the whole game is taking place "on the internet", I'm now thinking this must be a REAL chat for players of the game, and that the description was for my REAL machine, not my local ingame machine. Is this true? Is this just a communication tool for players or is it AI/Story/Ingame stuff?
4. I downloaded the uMP3 mod to play music in the game because I was getting tired of the same songs but I can't get it working. Has anyone done this?
Thanks for all your help, I'm really enjoying this game!
