Hi to all of you.

I am just a beginner with this interesting game. I completed the tutorial, made it through one mission (altough I had to pay a fine - sigh!), but I am still wondering if there is any way to save a game before some risky business. Anyone willing to help? Thanks!!

You can quit the game, make a backup of your save file, and then copy it back if you fail... but most would consider that cheating. ;)

If you have a gateway with two security slots, you can install both the motion sensor and the nuke, and then blow everything up if someone comes poking around. You'll lose the gateway, but you'll get a new one and can continue. Just remember that upgrades trigger the motion sensor as well...

If you use the latter strategy, however, you might want to gain access to a file server so you can store your programs (and not have to rebuy those).

Ok.. So I have to definitively go for one of those strategies. Thanks for replying!!
for easy backup and restore of your savegames you can use the Uplink Launcher Mod: www.modlink.net/search.php?search=uplink+launcher&modtype=all&submit=Search&pageid=1&searchtyp e=name
