I'm planning on buy one of the Unreal multiplayer oriented games aviable on GOG but I don't really know which should I get. I have never played none of them and I don't have any clues, so let's be straight, which is better of the two?

Hmm, both have good features different traits. UT99 has for example cooler weapons IMHO, and has been around longer. That can be a disadvantage, since most of the people who play it right now are very good. UT2K4 has the dodging moves, the adrenaline which allows you to get special perks like invisibility, beserk, and such. It also has vehicles and different gametype modes like OnSlaught, and Vehicle CTF. Problem is that nowadays most of the servers play a mod called Sniper Camper. It's difficult to find vanilla UT2K4 servers that arent the demo server with only 1 map in rotation. But when you do find them, it's pretty awesome. It really depends on what you want to do in-game.

I would probably start with UT2004, its got more gameplay modes going for it. The online community is a little more active for UT2004 over UT99. If you hit up moddb or something like that it has a ton of cool mods for the game as well when your done with playing the vanilla version.
Then after you've played UT2004 for a while if you still want another deathmatch shooter then UT99 is still a good option if not just for the awesome assault maps.

Thank you both guys. I get the idea. Guess I'll go for 2004 since It seems more active and will be easier to get into.

Not to worried about the rep anyway :P, just played alot of both the UT games and enjoy helping people with there problems.

No, UT99 is easier than UT2k4, and that's why I prerfer UT99:
To be fast in 2k4 you have to use vehicles, so 2k4 is no longer a FPS game.
On the map where there are no vehicle, the game is less fun as we run slower than UT99, and there are less weapons. There are perks but they are not very fun, I don't use them.
