Hi, I'm new to GOG and not 100% on how games with multiple cds are handled. I know that the s3tc (higher resolution) textures for UT 99 come on disc 2 in the physical copy and wanted to make sure you can get these even with the GOG version. I know UT patches are done in a similar way, asking you to put in your game CD. Is the GOG version somehow different that it removes disc prompts?

I am fairly sure the GOG version will be already patched to v436 so you don't have to worry about that.

As for S3TC textures you shouldn't even be using the textures on CD2 because there are some problems with them and with poorly configured UT servers

Instead you should download the S3TC textures from here http://uttexture.com/UT/Website/Downloads/Textures/Textures.htm

I'm fairly sure the corrected versions of CD2 textures are there or the updated textures for UT Retexturing Project are also there. If you cant find what your looking for you can always post on http://www.unrealtexture.com/General/Website/Forums/Forums01/index.php or the oldunreal.com forums

Ah, well I thought even the uploaded texture pack needed some files from the CD, but I suppose those are the ones with problems you were referring to. I know this is a bit off topic, but do all GOG games come with the newest patch/only some/ only UT (lol)? Thanks for the informative response btw.
