THERE ARE SPOILERS BELOW!

I'm playing on Windows XP SP3.

When I get to the DLC ending I can put the little robot inside the repairing machine, then use myself to connect the wires and power up the machine, but when the machine opens up the little robot is still broken and I can't move, it's not an ending since it stays in that screen until I turn the game off, no credits.

Google tells me the little robot should be repaired after this and this would be a new ending.

Other people complain about this too.

EDIT: because of spoilers.

Same thing happens on Windows 7.

Though I found that if you bring up the pause menu, you can control your robot while on that screen. Also I discovered that putting your robot between the wires, pause it, wait for the machine to charge and "not fix" your buddy, then unpausing it will let you move in the game.

Neither way will give you the good ending. You can only move around and get the bad ending.
I can confirm the bug also happens on Linux, so it doesn't look like a platform-specific bug. :\

Same here on Linux Mint 17.2:

It looks to me, like this dlc content hasn't even been tested once prior to release although it is so short.

I like to avoid spoilers so I did not really read the postings here. Anyway it seems that the DLC is faulty and at least one ending of it is not working. I would suggest everyone experiencing this to contact the devs directly. In my experience this often is the fastest way to get a fully working game - especially if indie devs made it because they WANT their games to work and to be enjoyed. It's hard for me to imagine that GOG support might help here because it seems to be a problem cominf directly from the game.

http://unmechanical.net/

Here is a part of their FAQ:

Q: My game crashes, doesn’t load properly or I get this error!
A: Send us your logfile and we’ll take a look at what might’ve caused the crash. It can be located in Documents\My Games\Unmechanical\UDKGame\Logs, called Launch.log.

Q: Some kind of bug in the game caused me to not be able to continue playing, I’m somehow stuck!
A: Tell us what happened when you were playing and what seems to be wrong, together with your save files and we’ll take a look at them if needed. You can find your save files in Documents\My Games\Unmechanical\SavedElements, put them in a zip or rar file and send them our way.

Yeah, I thought about it. but since I bought the game through GOG I posted this here.

I'll also contact the creators of the game.

Everybody should contact the developers so they see that this is a general issue. I'll do it myself if I experience the issue. I just finished the main story so I will start the extended DLC asap.
I've written a message towards
info (at) unmechanical (dot) net
The already replied to me, they said a patch is on the way :)
There is actually another bug in same level too.
If you get "we both broken" situation. exit to main menu, then try to Continue, you will restart in room with Big Green Lamp and your broken friend somehow stuck in lever. For real.
Only way to get it free is to grab, pull and wait for big stone to hit. If you miss it, then it will stuck forever, because you cannot pull it on your own.
I dont think its correct behavior.

Bad thing you need to completely re-download whole almost 1 Gig installer to get update. I feel bad for GOGs bandwidth. Its good that developer fixed this so fast (but its bad they didnt tested it good enough), but i think its better watch ending on youtube then wast resources to see its on you own.
P.S. But game is still great and if someone not yet got it its missing a lot.
