So my shiny weapon got turned into garbage by one of those infuriating clowns. I vaguely remember a place that was supposed to fix them for a price... but I didn't mark it on my map because I didn't think that I would seriously be stuck in a situation where my weapon was out of commission.

Any pointers as to where the hell it is?

I'm fairly sure it was in Catacombs. Top right segment AFAIR - you have to enter the door and in this chamber you can restore your objects. You need 100 divine favor for that. If you don't have it just go and kill a few undeads.

Thanks a lot!

While we're on the subject of the Halls... would you happen to know what's the end of the old tyme video gamey jump sequence that you enter at the top right of the Halls? The jumps are kind of tough and I don't feel like slugging from save point to the top of the Halls through all the armours...

Could you elaborate? I played the game some time ago, your previous question was easier because I've checked my map and apparently I made a note of the recovery room but right now I don't know what you are talking about... And the other thing: perhaps it has been added just recently? In that case I cannot help you

It's a door that you enter in the top right of the map of Halls. The jump thing has grey bricks and a blue chipset looking background with a pool of lava at the bottom.
The room to get there has a lot of bats and one of the pieces of the protection magic shield.

I don't get it... top right part of the Halls is where you learn new magic disciplines, isn't it? I don't see any door there. Are we talking about the same area? Can you post a screenshot?

Good god did I say top right?

I really apologize. I'm partially whatever that condition is when you say directions backwards. I meant top left. That was totally my bad.

I wrote "top right" twice and thought I was saying top left.

Edit: Also, so I don't start another topic.
What is the deal with Excalibur? If it's supposed to be the weapon for the chosen of the god of light (tm), why can this pile of crap hit dark enemies like ghosts? I can't even use the light enchantment on it. So this supposed sword of the "god of light" has less undead stopping power than any OTHER run of the mill NOT sword of the god of light. What gives...?

Nevermind. I quit.

For some reason whoever made this thought it would be great and fun to make the endgame as infuriating and over the top hardcore platformer as possible. I read that I need some ring to be able to have a decent shot at the endgame, but in order to get to the ring I have to pass through one of those awful instagib rooms. In order to GET to the instagib room I have to travel through a bunch of other rooms full of obnoxious enemies that force me to respec my quick keys, only to die on the ridiculously precise jumping parts.

Why did anyone think any of this was a good idea?

I don't know if you still need it but...
- at the end of this jumping area you get Gatchan, a new pet who can temporarily paralyze your enemies (pretty useful)
- as for Excalibur I was using it because of its xp bonus. I had to level up a bit before the last part of the game.
- and yeah, the last part of the game is the worst one too. Not funny and frustrating as hell

Getting to that magic ring is too frustrating for me. I'm way too inexperienced with the obnoxiously precise jumps needed, especially when a tiny twitch from the finger makes it go wrong by a millimeter.

If there was some way to hack the jump height (temporarily) that would allow me to finish it, but other than that it was just ridiculous.

The pet sounds cool and all, but the idea of trekking ALL the way back by barely missing a jump (not just trekking, but fighting through the obnoxious Halls monsters)... yeah. Not happening.

Thanks though.
And back to the original Q, the Hammer of the Paladin (Halls Shop) gives you 3 Favors per kill, so that can make it faster.
