Who knows? I bet it'll be worth the wait, in any case.

I'd rather wait for winter to start playing anyway. That way you're not missing a summer day or week.

If you're in Australia, that changes things of course.

Would be good to have a set date, originally it was q1 this year if I recall? Still looks to be great.
Styg doesn't like to give dates because "it'll be done when it's done" - he's definitely working on it hard and will get it out when it is ready. I'm excited to get back to playing it, since I stopped once I heard there was an expansion coming. I'm likely to wait a few months after it is released to play it so it can get patched too. LALALAaaa
I'm excited.
Just came back to underrail after a while (I played v0.1.13.3), and I'm very excited for the expension.

I just spent all my money on my house, I heard nothing about housing, but that would be nice if somehow there was something added to it, like being able to hire people to work in it or something. Or maybe taking the lead of your own small station.

the feeling I have is within first 6 months of the year, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's more of a load than that and takes until august-october - and then I figure 1-2 months for its first patch, and THEN I'll start playing

but OHMAN am I ready for it already!

On Steam, Styg said that there would be "at least a couple more" DevLogs between then and release of Expedition. That was last week, and there haven't been any DevLogs in the intervening time, so we're still at least two or three out, and DevLogs tend to come around about bi-monthly (1/2mo, not 2/mo. English, right?).

You might still be right with your June-terminated window, but I'd set my hopes a little lower if I were you. Hope for fall. Seems there's a very good chance we could get it this year.

haha, yep! June is likely way too early, I was thinking if there'd been one in feb we'd possibly get one in april and then one in june before a release, october+ is more likely, and somewhere in the forum Styg said [current year] (even though he didn't actually say this year!)
I don't have UnderRali yet, so I might be a little clueless. Can someone explain to me why you would stop playing the game while you wait for an expansion? Is it because the expansion is expected to improve the base game?

If I recall the expansion will add a lot of mid game content.

Just like David says, above. The expansion won't change the beginning or the end of the game. What it will do instead is give a whole lot of new places to explore during the middle of the game. it will also add some new weapon types which will probably change up some of the way that gun and melee users play; and it will add a new school of psi abilities that's sort of meant to be a general buff for all possible builds.

If you do play through and finish the game, then when the expansion comes out you'll need to either revert to a much older save, or else start a new character. Otherwise you'll be running around in a game world that you've already beaten, looking for things to do (and out-levelling them by a good bit, likely).
Good to know. Thank you both for the info. I'm hoping it goes on sale in the summer and late in the year.
