Allright this is gonna sound whiny as hell, but i just want to went it off someway. Know that i adore this game, but theres one thing.
For fraks sake these things make me want to stop playing. Sting->teleport to invisibility->repeat after two turns.
Whoever thought this was a good way to implement steathy enemy - please fire yourself and stay away from gamedesign.
There is no cooldown for these things to do their tricks, they require so much time its completely ruins the flow of the game.
Flares work only when you know where to look for, googles does nothing (even +56% detection still require you to stay for a long time waiting for that silouette appear.
So far i found only one reliable method of detecting it and of course it would be patched instead of the buggy bugs: if you are choosing a location for force field the sector with something ivisible will be shown as unavailable to cast showing you where the bastards are.
"But you can place traps and then start a fight"
"but you can use googles and flares"
"but you can use molotovs and that flaming spell"
"but you can lure them with sounds"
NO! This enemy is just broken. I enjoy overcoming difficulties and getting metagame experience finding my own approach to a various enemies Underrail has, but these things just here to stop you from playing because you just know that if theres more than two of them, its gonna take much more time than it feel right to take. They annoyed me so much i gathered a lot of supplies and went to their lair in the southern sector cave, killed the black stalker and went on to ->SPOILERS BELOW!<-
In DC you get to powestation and its a brilliant place gamedesign wise: the most safest places you know become hostile too, even deadly, it really makes you act fast because you dont have the same options anymore. You evade/take fights with what opposes you and advance from one puzzle piece to another until third map makes you excpect coil spiders BUT NO. ITS THE SAME FREAKING BUGS.
The mix of dissapointment and aknowledgment of how much time ill have to waste on them made me close the game not wanting to get back to it. First time in 50 or so hours.
