Matruchus: A new game from the Ultimate General series called Ultimate General: Civil War is going to be launched in to early access on Steam this month. It will increase the scope of the game from tactical perspective to strategical. So you will be able to recruit troops, they will gain expirience and every loss will be real and will affect your fame which will affect how many troops you will be able to affect. And you will be able to defeat the Union or the Confederacy on the Strategic map.

Hope the game comes to gog.com too. Hopefully already with in dev program.
