Just got Ultima Underworld - it installed and boots up fine.

When I try to create a new character I can't enter a character name and continue the game.

No keyboard commands are working. I tried the solutions given on the support page, but it's still not working.

Any ideas?

Can you use the keyboard before getting to the name entry part? If so, then try clicking in the text box area for name entry, and see if you can start typing after that.

As far as I can tell the keyboard is unresponsive even before you get to the name entry point. I can't skip the opening intro cutscene and I've pressed every key to try to make that work. (They keyboard is functionarl because I can turn the caps lock light on and off during the intro - it just doesn't respond in game).

I have tried clicking in the text box and also typing in a name and hitting return to see if that would work. It doesn't.
