I recently picked up the Ultima 4/5/6 trilogy. Ultima IV was one of my all-time favorite games since I played it on my old Apple //e back when it came out. It was fun to play through it again.

Anyway, I just won and went on to Ultima V. When I try to run it I get as far as the Dosbox window opening up, going black, then the whole program just shuts down. Any ideas or suggestions for where to start in fixing this? Anyone else run into this problem?

(Also, after having that problem, I tried Ultima 6 and it starts up Dosbox and just locks up loading during the dos part, prior to Ultima even running.)

You probably need to change the graphics mode and / or run them as administrator. A number of the games seem to have this issue and I think those two things have pretty much fixed them every time. :)

Run as admin fixed both! Thanks! Don't know why I didn't think of trying that before.
