As the title suggests I've hit a wall at the Morphius fight in Praecor Loth's tomb. No matter what I do I cannot put him down. I've been using the Axe of high accuracy and the fire axe and nothing hits him. I can hit him with a fireball or smite undead once or twice but that's and it doesn't even get him past green health. Am I missing something? Or possibly underleveled? Stats are:

Level 11 Paladin
Str 21
Int 19
Atk 13
Axe 12
Mana 13
Casting 12

Your Attack and weapon skill both look quite low to me for this point in the game. I'd suggest investing as heavily in them as you can. Iirc, Axe should be first because it has the stronger effect. I'd be looking for at least mid-20's for each of those two skills, preferably around 30 (if you can get it that high).

It's been a number of years since my play through, but I seem to recall he packs a very devastating poison effect when he hits, so bring some form of Cure Poison (leeches, potion, An Nox spell, whatever) for after the fight. Beyond that, maybe a bunch of mana potions so you can keep trying to Smite Undead. If you have the runes for it, then maybe Flame Wind or Sheet Lightning?

I stumbled across this while browsing for other stuff: https://wiki.ultimacodex.com/wiki/Valor_(spell)

Putting up some buff spells just before you engage may help make up the difference in your combat ability.

Interesting stats. You def seem a bit underleveled for that part of the game. I restored an old game right before I entered Praecor Loth's tomb, here were my stats:

Level 15 Druid
STR - 28
DEX - 14
INT - 18
XP - 7242
ATT - 15
DEF - 8
AXE - 30
MANA - 16
LORE - 30
CAST - 17

That being said, you should still be able to beat Morphius if you have the Axe of Fire Doom (which I assume is the "fire axe" that you are referring to) and the leather vest of Flameproof. So long as you swing and hit ANYTHING around him over and over again, the fireballs should burn him to a crisp.

If it's really too difficult for ya, you can gain XP and go to Dupre a bunch of times to max out your AXE. The Skeletons in the NW corner of lv. 3 are fantastic for grinding XP, and will respawn forever until Praecor Loth dies. Just try to keep attacking the same area so that your Axe of Fire Doom burns all of the skeleton bones and junk, non-gold items that drop. Otherwise, you'll have a LOT of items piling up on that floor which may slow down your game.

Another option is to just run past Morphius. You don't actually have to fight him. If you get the KEY from Silanus' corpse (behind the secret door in that waterway puzzle area in the NE of Lv. 3), you can unlock the door behind Morphius and just bypass the fight completely.

If combat proves too difficult, there are always ways to mitigate things. A freeze time spell is useful, as the enemy can't fight back. There's also a wand of paralysation, IIRC. You might wanna charge that up in Killorn Keep and then go to town on Morphius. There's also a spell called smite undead. This comes in form of a wand as well.
