Hold_Caulfield: Just bought this and Pagan cause of the sale going on. Installed Ascension without issue. When I launch the game, a black square pops up quickly in the upper left of my screen then disappears, leaving my cursor spinning and offering me no error message. It's as if the game is trying to launch, then shutting itself down.

The FinalSetup application tells me I've selected a texture setting my computer does not have, regardless of which selection of texture or screen resolution I choose.

I'm running on Windows 7, as admin, and have tried all the possible combinations of Compatibility choices I can think of as an attempt to fix.

So ... any suggestions?

And yes, all my drivers are up to date.
