Hi Everyone,

Im early in the game and in Paws where the widows child has been falsely accused of stealing venom. Ive found the keys to the storeroom and chest and have the venom and ledger but no one in the town seems to acknowledge this when I speak with them.

The merchant at the slaughterhouse will talk about the ledger and make some excuses, but am I supposed to do something to make sure the falsely accused child is cleared of the theft and if so, what is it that I should do? Ive spoken with his accusers at the fellowship, their son, as well as the widow and the accused son again but none of them say anything different than they said before I recoved the 'stolen' venom nor do they seem to have any way to know that I have the evidence proving his innocence.

Thanks much for any help!

**EDIT/UPDATE** I figured it out, didnt realize I had to find more venom in the fellowship childs chest but once I did that it appears to have triggered the completion of this quest.

On a side note, the ledger and subsequent confession will lead you to other places in the game where you can obtain silver serpent venom. The venom can be sold to a particular NPC in the game, which makes finding venom and selling it one of the many ways you can obtain more gold in the game. (although, the largest sources of venom are in chests/crates that obviously belong to other people, so selling venom procured in that manner may be viewed upon as being unvirtuous)
