I got the ring from Antos and beat tracks to the time of legends, but turned back once I got into the castle and past the force field since I realized I had taken a few too many hits. After grinding an obscene amount of gold for healing and food, I went back to the castle, but took damage from the field. I checked my inventory, and sure enough, the ring is gone! Is it possible that some thief has stolen it, or is this some kind of bizarre bug?

I never had any issues with the ring. If you'd like, you can provide your save and I'll check it out.

Hmmm... let's see if this works.

Yep, just add ".jpg" (or whatever image format) to the end of the file name and it'll post.

Yes, it is possible a thief can steal the ring.

Ah, I didn't realize that... I should've, considering I just read the manual to see if there were any clues to the issue. Somehow that didn't click for me... :/

EEP! Ah well, I guess I'll just have to leave it unfinished for now, not feeling up to yet more grinding out gold to level up.

There's a save editor here if you want to cheat the thing back into your inventory.
