apparently armor does nothing in the dungeons on this version of the game, is there any patch or solution?

Yes, Armor does absolutely nothing in this game. It was like that back in the 80s, too. The only reason to have armor is that you'll need a vacuum suit later in the game.

Wait, armor did nothing? I wish I knew that before I waisted a ton of money on re-buying every armor that Gelatinous Cubes ate!

JalPhoenix: Yes, Armor does absolutely nothing in this game. It was like that back in the 80s, too. The only reason to have armor is that you'll need a vacuum suit later in the game.

It was the gelatinous cube that made me take notice. I noticed that I was taking the exact same damage from it even after it destroyed my armor. I started paying more attention, and sure enough, every monster does the exact same amount of damage no matter what armor you're wearing, even no armor. It's just one of the programmed cheats these games have, like monsters being able to attack diagonally while you can't.

Its a bug, not a cheat. It isn't the case in other versions of the game (C64/Apple).
