I've made a few cheats for ultima underworld 2 (gog version, no mouselook) and made a webpage to apply the cheats, inspired by ultimahacks. It's here. The cheats I've made so far are:

* Sequential lore checks
* Every skill check is a critical success
* Increase inventory carry capacity, health, mana
* Change EXP for level up
* Increase skill point gain, exp gain
* Prevent death
* Increase health and mana regen
* Prevent light sources and spells from ending

If you guys have any ideas for simple patches, I'll look into them. Later, I'll try to make these work with UW1, and with the mouselook versions.

Nice work! The lore check one is particularly interesting, as I have always hated putting all my resources into lore just to know whether an item is magical or not.

I wonder if you can alter how much XP is provided when exploring the world, so that a player who is doing a pacifist run can potentially reach max level while killing the bare minimum number of enemies.

Can you also make it so that a player can repair even badly worn gear?

If you do that, it might be interesting to also eliminate XP from kills and see how the game feels with that particular combination.

A true pacifist run would reduce your XP after you kill an optional enemy, lol.

But I would imagine the XP for each creature in the game is hardcoded, and it might be a pain to edit those values for each and every creature in the game.
I'll write both of those suggestions down. XP while exploring is still an open issue, I haven't had the time to discover exactly how it works and how it's triggered. Removing XP from kills looks like an easy modification, but I didn't explore because making the game harder wasn't in the original plans. But it's interesting nonetheless. And who knows, maybe it's possible for XP values from kills to be negative, which could reinforce the pacifist route.

Looks very interesting, might have to plan a play session of UW2, though TBH, I only played UW1 haha. Btw, I love the inventory capatcity increase. I always hated limited storage in games, must be my packrat mentality.

If you do end up doing a pacifist version, I hope you at least keep a copy of the regular version. I'm not especially into violence, but I'm not exactly a diplomatic person either lol.

The cheats are configurable, so you should be able to mix and match whatever experience you want.

As a workaround, I always kept a "storage room" in the game, with various boxes and bags that hold various items, from valuables for trade to scrolls to potions and magic armor.

Even if you have an unlimited storage capacity, bags are super helpful

You're right, unlimited doesn't always solve the inventory issues. Especially with games that have no sort/filter function at all lol.

I have used local barrels and boxes in some games, at key locations. Those were indeed nice when there were easy access like taking a quick portal (Grim Dawn for example) or some other fast travel method.

It's still nice to have, as long as there is a way to sort it. DOS EE does it decently (with the drop-down) and you can even edit the files to change which tab shows which items when using those. I also like the way they designed the crates, barrels and such. Wonder if there is a limit to those spaces, not that I plan to test it hehe.

For some reason all of this suddenly reminded of Bag of Holding(s). Haha, those sure bring back memories.

On another note, I'm actually currently playing Divinity Original Sin EE and I soooo wanted to try out that XC_Bags mod, only to find out it was removed some time ago by the Author. That was some creative work and I never even got to try it. Wish I had downloaded and archived it back then, but too late now I guess. :(

I wonder - have tried to find the file but had no luck. None of the files seem to have the right value. So i wonder what its name should be ?

I don't follow you. You uploaded your uw2.exe executable to the site and it said the hash was wrong, and you tried applying the cheats and they all said the values were wrong? What uw2.exe did you use? From GOG?
