How do I add music to Ultima V?

I know of the Ultima V upgrade patch, but unfortunately this doesn't work with dosBox. Does anybody know a way to make it work in dosBox/add music another way to U5? It has a fantastic soundtrack that I'd love to be able to hear.

You could try Pix's Ultima Patcher from Ultima Aiera.

+1 -- Has anyone figured out how to add music to Ultima V in Windows 7? I've downloaded PIx's Ultima Patcher, but none of the .exe files want to work with the latest iteration of Windows.

Bonus points if you can explain how to get it working with small words and short sentences.

Pix's Ultima Updater works perfectly fine for me in Windows 7 64-bit.

Just to be sure: have you heard of Ultima V - Lazarus? Really worth checking out. It's a 3d remake, they even added more depth do dialogues etc.

It does require Dungeon Siege though, does it not? I don't believe that has changed.

One day, GOG will get Dungeon Siege, and then everyone can be happy and play Lazarus (and the U6 one).

At the moment, I can only find it (legally) on Steam as part of the Dungeon Siege complete pack (£37.99), which is more than I want to pay (especially since I don't particularly want to play any of the DS games).

You could go for the old fashioned approach and get a hard copy. A quick look on Ebay UK shows it available on buy it now for £1 + postage and plenty of auctions at 99p. That would still be cheaper than GOG even if they were selling it.

I've always used Pix's Ultima Patcher; it's quick, easy, and convenient. You just need to run the executable and choose which patches you want to apply and the program handles the rest. It probably includes all the patches you downloaded and you won't need to worry about applying them yourself.
