Hi all!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone has been able to run this game using amd intergrated graphics? According to the requierements for this game it does not support intel intergrated, is that also the case with amd?

I have a laptop using Ryzen 7 5700U and it works quite great with a lot of games in general.

Edit: Should have specified that my question concerns Afterlight.

that you must ask about the risk of buying Afterlife for 2 more dollars.

Ignore the collector troll. I also like to only buy games that I can play not just look at my library and jack off. Best bet is to always read forums, more than a few games are pretty broken with outdated patches. I've found most the stuff from win98 era only works on xp and half works on win8. You can try using a virtual machine and boot win8/xp then install the game in there, you do not need an activated win8/xp to run games in a vm. Fair warning Army Men game series is pretty broken. There is a nglide and gfxvoodoo fix floating around forums for some older games that sometimes works.

Thank you very much for the (nice) replay.
I never bought the game because, as you say, I don't see a point in owning something which I cannot use. I will do some more research around forums and see what I can find.

My understanding of the problems ppl have running Afterlight is w/ newer Intel cards (or their drivers) no longer supporting the older graphics engine used by the game. So if your AMD card and driver are, say, pre-2010, then you are probably good to go.

The game runs fine w/ my old Geforce 210M card, though driver updates for it are no longer supported by Nvidia. Though I did have an initial problem fitting the game to the screen (solution fix here).

This thread is kinda old but I'm having issues running these games on a dedicated video card.
It runs, but it isn't pretty, very low res because it doesn't detect the capabilities of my system.
According to MSI Afterburner Ufo Aftermath runs on OpenGL and I suspect the other games do as well.

Since it's OpenGL dgVoodoo 2 is out of the question, DxWnd is an option though.
When I get around it I will give it a try or someone else can beat me to it and tell the results.
