It had started bad, then has been quite good for some patch in middle (where I played it), but they finally killed their game, making it worst than at start. If you're masochistic, you may still be pleased :)
At least, don't buy the DLCs, they're part of what makes the game bad. What a sadness, this game could be good.
What is still bad, is that you need its external web wiki, that's bad design, instead of making what you learn an ingame memory.
Underrail and KingArthur are too trap games, others (above) in my good played time are at least correct (for my taste).

Hahah! Yes... that seems to be my problem. It is getting exceedingly difficult. My heroes keep dying off, which is frustrating. I believe the game could be really good if only the difficultly level wasn't as high.

Underrail is also really good, I played that one for a while and have been meaning to get back to it...

What I disliked is that you must specialized your toon, hybrids are here very bad. And I love playing hybrids, so I think this game is bad: it's not based on roleplay, but only on minmaxing tactics. I don't think it was corrected with patches, so I didn't return.

Finally back, for now.
