Hi,
I bought TW2 yesterdayand after installing it today i tried to run it with both TwoWordls2_DX10.exe and TwoWordls2.exe i have same message about twoworlds 2 stopped working. Not any specific error message or anything just instead of loading screen (or sometimes simultaneously with it) black screen and "windows message" in the middle. I tried running it as administrator and/or different compatibilty modes (win 8, win xp, win 7)but it is always the same.
All that I can give you would be suggesting other steps to try to trouble shoot without knowing if it will help.
Other steps to take could be (given in random order) :

Update video drivers.

Run DXDiags to ensure that everything is OK .

Try installing the Legacy PhysX drivers : https://www.gog.com/forum/two_worlds_series/do_this_before_running_two_worlds

Run an AV scan on your PC and when you are sure that you do not have any virus then try turning off the AV when you ant to run the Two Worlds II game

If you have a problem I also suggest that you run the game in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Also try to run the System File Checker utility (sfc /scannow) (e.g. a damaged rundll32 in the wow64 could make your windows exhibit the given behavior)

That's all that I can come up with for now , good luck getting the game to run :-)

I contacted support right after writing first post, after two days of different (failed) attempts to run it (all steps of troubleshoot, and following zendesk advices) i was refunded for game and it was removes from my library unluckilly there was no way to run it. I have no idea why, but i will shoot that it was connected to switchable graphic devices on my laptop. Part i tho is working fine and i am having great time with it.
I had problems running TW2 on Win10, too.
The following steps helped for me:

1. Uninstall PhysX
2. Install the following PhysX package: http://www.nvidia.de/object/physx-9.16.0318-driver-de.html
3. Start the game (for me it worked - even the DX10 version)

Yes, this is the most common cause of the game not working.

Would there be any adverse effects to any other programs or the computer for doing these steps? Thanks

Nope--if any other games require nVPhysX, they should run better as well with this version installed.

Tried to start TW2 after installing it and it wouldn't run because of the PhysX dll missing. Installed the legacy drivers from the provided link and now it's running perfectly. Thank you!!
