A friend asked me to do TW2-Multiplayer with him, but I really wanted to finish TW before so I don't get spoilered storywise. Does anyone remember how long it took them to finish the game, sidequests and all? I only need an approximation, like, are we talking 30 hours? 50? 80+?

This is hard to answer. You may rush the main quest to finish it as fast as you can but at some point you will find out that you need to level up some more so you need to to some side quests. The side quests involve a lot of exploration to find new places and the people who give you the quests.

I would say that 30 hours would be a minimum but if you like exploring, finding hidden caves dungeons and loot, fighting lots of monsters, experimenting with alchemy and weapon stacking etc. you will soon find out that 100 hours might not be enough.

To speed things a little you might consider using a game guide.

I see...I think I did hear the ~30 hours estimate somewhere, but after I spend my first few hours of playing just gathering quests (without even completing them), I started to think that couldn't be right xD

I certainly don't wanna rush things with a game like this...I'll take my time and not touch TW2 Solomode until I finished part one. I just hope the multiplayer campaign isn't too full of spoilers. Thanks a lot for your answer!

IMO Two Worlds is worth you time for it's huge and lively world with diverse environments, day/night cycle and weather system which alter the landscape dramatically and, last but not least, the brilliant music of Harold Faltermeyer.

Two Worlds II is more focused on the story and dialogue and it will make you laugh quite a lot. PoTFF expansion is outright hilarious. :)

Both games are powered by amazing engines with stunning visuals, able to render huge drawing distances yet with almost no noticeable area transitions and VERY fast loading times. I would say quite an impressive technology. :)

Wait, now I'm confused...are you talking about TW1 or TW2? Because I always read that TW2 is much shorter, but isn't PotFF (P?) the DLC for Part 2?

It's about TW2 of course. The wold of TW is much larger and you can explore it for many, many hours without pursuing any quests. TW2 world is smaller and it opens more as the story progresses but it doesn't have the sheer vastness from TW.

According to Raptr, I've played 124 hours in Two Worlds. I'd say 4 were in MP, and maybe 10 where I wasn't actually playing. I also explored almost everything I could except the ocean in the upper left. So 80-90 hours if you want to complete absolutely everything short of exploring 100% of the map. I also looted every single item and transported back to sell them so that probably took a few hours as well.

Thanks everyone, I started playing again today and I really like it thus far - would be a shame to rush through a game like this. Now I only need to find a way to get it to run smoothly, and I'll be set for many hours to come...

Basically those three tweaks give you free fps because there's no real quality impact other than less grass (which can actually help with finding herbs) :

Engine.GrassUserMultiplier 0.25

Be sure to run in DX9 mode, not DX10.

Thanks, but I'm having the problems with Two Worlds, not Two Worlds 2 :) Maybe you know something about that too? I already opened a question with the specifics, since I really don't know what to try anymore...
