so far no success rebooted PC verified/repaired file, removed the old junk dumped into the Turok2 EK game folder via Revo-uninstaller force uninstall and retried, no sucess.

Same here... I purchased Turok 1 + 2 in bundle today and downloaded the installers. Turok 1 installs just fine and shows this yellow CD Icon in install and uninstall menu of windows. But Turok 2 is much bigger in filesize but installer ends very rapidly and says Turok 2 was installed. But inside the install folder is no Turok 2 executable. Only the uninstaller and icon file and such :( That's not correct to give out such broken stuff for money!

I use Windows 8.1 32bit.

I don't know if this is the cause of your problem, but this is below the minimum spec for Turok 2, which requires a 64-bit OS, at least according to the store page listing on GOG.

Indeed, there is no 32bit version. I'm not sure what is allowing spanther to download it on a 32bit system, was it GOG Galaxy by any chance?

Sadly, for the Turok 1+2 Games, you only get remakes. Not the original, old games of it. So that's why they do not run on old systems. Because they are actually ports of the old game, freshly made with even more effects and settings etc. and completely from scratch with new engine etc. but for new aka modern systems. They are DRM free here so that's why you can use them. It's weird that they did not make the Turok 2 version a 32bit version aswell as the Turok 1 port though.

On Windows 10 they run fine and on Windows 7 64bit they should run well too :)

I built myself a retro system now with Windows 7 64bit installed on it. To run all those GoG games I purchased, by placing them offline on it :) So no virus security is necessary. No internet on this machine. Only GoG Games :)
