if Haemimont Games did a remake of Tropico 2 how would you guys think it will turn out?

It was such an awful game, so a remake can only be better than the original.

Agreed, I think "awful" is a strong indictment. I would have gone with "overly simple". Had I paid full retail price for it, I would have let the "awfuls" fly!!!

Before Tropico 4, Tropico 2 was my prefered tropico.
A remake of pirate Tropico 2 (T.5?) would become my prefered Tropico.

I fear it wouldn't meet the standard of T2. Sure, I would have superior graphics - but at the cost of taking away refined gameplay. Also they tend to polish the games less. T3 has unaddressed bugs and the ptaching which happned to T4 wasn't that intensive as well.

T2 has some interesting parts but the randomness in cruises can easily kill your chances if you lose a ship early in the game.

I always did a descriptive save before sending off the fleet, just in case.

Loved, LOVED, LOVED this game!

Still play on occasion.
