As per http://www.pcgamer.com/au/2014/06/18/trine-enchanted-edition-coming-free-to-steam/ - apparently Trine is getting an engine overhaul to match Trine 2. Does anyone know if this will head over to GOG's version, or will it be Steam only?
Yes

Ingsoc85: Yes
Thank you very much for that!
Any idea of when it will be available and if current saves will be compatible? I have an unfinished coop game of Trine waiting for my return, about 6 hours or so in.

The Frozenbyte reported that Trine Enchanted Edition will be available for free to Steam, GOG and Humble Store versions

I can confirm that Trine (win) in Humble Library gone from ~700mb to 1.8Gb with TrineEnhancedEdition_Windows.zip new filename
Linux and MAC is still "old"
Now. bad news - original version was removed completely.

Thanks for confirming that. I'll keep the old version on my external hard drive as well rather than have it be replaced :)

Really? The Frozenbyte website says it should still be available. Luckily, I already have the original backed up.
The updated version does not impact the original game. Instead, both versions are available and can be selected from the game’s launcher.
Well, why should they keep the old version if you can choose between both engines ingame ?

Well, i meant there is no download for original version anymore, didnt checked if newer version includes both
What annoys me is that the GOG version doesn't include online co-op, which is a major part of the overhaul in the Enchanted Edition. The Steam version does include it, so it looks like I'll be going with them, despite the fact I own Trine on GOG.

A word of advice to the developer: if you advertise online co-op as a major selling feature of the new upgrade, make sure to include it in ALL versions.
