Not many people around here though this is such a fun game. I'm playing it with my girlfriend at the moment with two keyboards and mice.
It is a great game! I beat it with my wife and we had a blast! I didn't buy t from here though, (which may be true of a lot of people and may explain they lack of community) .

If they get Trine 2 in the promised DRM Free, not tied to steam, format I'll definitely be picking it up.
Hah, I should wait for that DRM Free version too. Now i just bought box version of Trine 2 and I need internet connection to install it. It's sad. I don't like stream, don't have account there, but I am forced to do it, cause I bought game in the shop. Ouch steam...

Hi Senteria , me and my gf are also considering to get this game because it looks like great fun , id like to know , do you play both in one computer then ? there are programs to make my ps3 controllers work in the pc so it would be great if they work with the game , did you both have to get a copy each or ? , thanks in advance for any info :)

If I remember right Trine only has local multiplayer (on the same computer), and only one player can use the keyboard/mouse setup, so you would need a controller or a second set of keyboard/mouse to play together.

That's correct, if you have another computer, you also have a keyboard and mouse set, so it's all good for us. However my controller won't work on it. On the 2nd game the axis are inverted, which is pretty annoying.

We have a notebook each , so the keyboard its integrated :P unless there is a way to be able to see the game on her pc wile we play it will have to be only in mine , but we can give it a try and see if it works , as soon as we finish another game we are busy with now :) thanks a lot for the info , being able to play even if it is in one pc its good enough :)

I am not very computer expert but would it be posible to see the game on her pc as well trough a HDMI cable ? we used that to see movies on the tv from the computer , if it would be posible that be great and each could play on our own

I played it with two keyboards and mice. Though we had to switch keyboards or mice around because I think it auto assigns which goes for which player. Basically I plugged in a new keyboard and mouse, rebooted the computer and checked the option and it worked. Though I believe you have to start a new game as a 2 player game or else it won't work.

Not too sure.

Well that is something to try , i read around the internet that because we both have a mouse touch , not even sure how they are called haha , those allready integrated , that might be causing trouble as well , i have my own mouse because i cant really do much with the touch one , i allready finished the game on my own in two days , was a cool game for sure , ill try and see what comes out of your sugestion :)
Well, at $4.99 special right now, I had to bite and just bought the game!

I love platformers and am currently playing Giana Sisters:Twisted Dreams and like it a lot except for the fact their is no co-op mode.

Can't wait to try co-op mode with this game. Hopefully, Trine 2 will come to GOG as well soon - screw the DRM schemes along with steam.

I lost interest in PC games 6 years ago after playing Oblivion with all the DRM madness since then. GOG has renewed my interest now that I can go back and play a lot of the games I wanted to during the last 6 years - except now, without DRM!

Enjoy the DRM-free revolution! ~ GOG

I had a lot of fun with Trine. Still have not gotten a 100% game though.

Thanks! Just started Trine yesterday. Had some config issues with my thrustmaster gamepad and so started to play on mouse and keyboard.

That got old pretty quick. I resolved the gamepad config issue by using the "x360ce" emulator to make my gamepad look like a XBOX 360 Controller - worked perfect!

Fantastic game.

Could that make my controller work with the witcher 2 and trine as well? I have a q-ware gamepad/controller. It works on my ps1 emulator and some other games.

First of all, Windows7 recognized my "Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog 3" gamepad.
A way to tell is to "Run" from the start button "joy.cpl" which will bring up a dialog box.
However, I suspect the Thrustmaster was not "XInput" compatible, hence the problem with configuring it in the Trine setup.

The utility "x360ce" is an open source project. I would provide a http link but that might be against GOG forum policy - but using Google or other search will readily get you to the right site. When running it, I made sure the graphical view of all the XBox 360 controller switches/analog control were all assigned.

"x360ce" then generated a "x360ce.ini" file. The instructions then indicate to place the "x360ce.ini" file and the "xinpu1_3.dll" file in the game folder.

For Trine, the destination folder for me was "Program Files\GOG.com\Trine\"
In the controller configuration for Trine, I simply selected "Thrustmaster Gamepad" and left the
configuration on default (since default is already configured for XBox 360 controllers)

My first try on running "x360ce" I got the analog Y input reversed, so I had to run again and reconfigure the Analog Y direction on the controller view, followed with regenerating the new "x360ce.ini".

I apologize if this is more detail than wanted - but hopefully it may help you and others.
I found using "x360ce" to be relatively easy and I'm glad the project exists.

Incidentally, I have completed Trine. What an awesome game although I wish there was more levels to work through. I will be playing it again on a harder setting with local co-op instead of solo. Hopefully, Trine 2 will be available without DRM and make it to GOG
