Any body else having a problem where when you get into your boat at the start of the game it just crashes?
I've experienced the exact same problem. It also crashed in the main menu afterwards.

EDIT: Running the game in Windows 95 compability mode fixes the crash.

I have a problem where the game just loops the boat scene. It's been running for 10 minutes now and nothing is really happening.

As to the crash issue, try setting the game to Win95 compatibility and running it as adminitrator.
yeah I get the same thing with the boy in the boat. Windows 7 if matters/helps at all

Edit: XP compatibility mode worked for me fine.

It hasn't crashed on me, but it refuses to save any changes I make to the controls (so I'm stuck with the awkward keyboard defaults), and the dialogue is displaying in too low a resolution to be legible.

Seems like a buggy mess.

If you set the compatibility to windows XP and run as admin for setup.exe it remembered the settings for me

This worked, but I still can't get the font to display correctly.
same here... should not happen to a game from 2011!

Try installing the font file that comes with the game...maybe that will help?

It's called smalle just click and you'll see the options to print or install it.

If your running win7 64bit playing the game as admin sorts the crash problem, well at least it does for me.

Same for me. Just running as ADMIN fixes issues on WINDOWS 7 (64 bit.)
Ironic that the newest game on GOG works as if it didn't have the most recent OS in mind.
This forum posted another way of doing it. This forum is also from this website. See the message right above mine that I posted at the same date and a minute before this message. http://www.gog.com/en/forum/treasure_adventure_game/multimedia_fusion_standalone_application_has_stopped_working
I am running Treasure Adventure on Vista and it crashed for me when the boy gets the boat too - until I followed the suggestion to right-click on the game icon and tell it to 'run in administrator mode'

Its been running fine since then
