Didn't much care for the first one because track laying was a pain - basically you paid for your mistakes. Anyone know if version #2 will have track tools so I can see what I'm paying for beforehand?

I did not play the first one, but I have watched a lot of preview material on youtube for this one. The track preview shows cost, max. speed at different waypoints, it allows to choose bridge and tunnel types and line height/depth where applicable. It looks very good to me. At least one youtuber was very happy with it.
