Since two days i am unable to either update the game or install, it either gives me an E4 Server Error or E9 Install Error.
Yes i already did a clean uninstall / reinstall of the gog galaxy client and purged all remnants of the game from my pc/registry but no luck - and its the only game so far in my library with that behaviour, ive updated several in the last two days and today for testing purposed installed 10 different games, everything went fine EXEPT TF2... so all i can guess that something serverside is broken but i cant really find anybody with that issue... and that is super weird.

I would be glad, even if you cant help me solve my issue - to know that others are expiriencing it - as i am really at a loss what else I could do to fix an apparent server side isse :-(
I can confirm this from GOG Galaxy 2.0 as well. It returns Error E9 update failed from Server.

Have not tried reinstalling and not planning to do so. Checking/repair of the installation in Galaxy returns the same error though.

+1
Same problem here...
So a short update, i could download the game as a DRM Free installer from gog, install it and then manually add it to the launcher. When i tried to download the latest patch it says "patch already installed" but then in galaxy 2 its... trying to install the patch AGAIN and then the mentioned E4 error occurs... so basically its trying to patch it with the latest patch but failing to download the patch somehow... it is a super weird error and... well im not glad you guys are having the same issue but at least it really seems something that just popped up.

I did some tests also on other games and it works fine, even the manual download and then adding stuff works for those games.

I bet Urban Games messed up something while uploading the latest patch to the servers. I would not hold my breath that it will be fixed until Monday at least. The game starts for me and is playable. Galaxy just cannot update the game it seems. Maybe they flagged an update in Galaxy and did not upload the files or something like that, so that now Galaxy wants to update the game, but obviously can't. We will see ... I trust the guys at Urban Games, they have an awesome support with patches and the longevity of the games. Outstanding developer in that aspect and usually quite fast to react on problems!

i have the same problem
Same problem here on galaxy 1 - don't uninstall the game, that doesn't help ;)

Yeah, I looked at the file it's trying to download and it says 0 of 0 MB as the size of the file. So... it is very likely.

I didnt look at the file, but the Galaxy download list briefly showed that it is downloading 15GB (ie it showed something like "0 of 15GB"), but then it errored out again.

Edit: Whilst I had literally just started (and then restarted) galaxy before trying this, I cannot categorically exclude the possibility that the 15GB was referring to downloads I made yesterday, not sure whether galaxy remembers those. I don't think it does, but not certain.

Update, So as mentioned i did a clean install of galaxy and all such things... it didnt help... but on Tuesday it finally worked again - so i assume it was realy a server/file issue .... good to remember if stuff happens again, i just wonder how they noticed.
Okay, so my Galaxy 1 thought that I have TF2 installed (I actually didn't), tried to "update" (from the latest version to the latest version - apparently the failed install attempt had registered the installation without actually doing it) and failed again with server error. The workaround is easy:
1. "Uninstall" the game.
2. Install again.

It is still installing and I won't have time to actually play until the weekend, but as it is already at 18% of downloading it would appear the issue is resolved.

I would hope that they keep track of failed installations by themselves in any case. But I would imagine some people probably contacted support.

Update Faile (E9)
Divinity: Original Sin -Enhanced Edition.
For the past 2 days, I have received the same error.
What is an E9 issue?
Thank you,
Dawn

E9 seems to be an internal failure code from Galaxy. I guess only GOG developers or maybe the game developers know what it means. Nothing you can do about it, well maybe force/apply the latest Galaxy Client update (there was one recently a few days ago) if you do not have it on automatic.

As you seem to have problems with Divinity, rather than with Transport Fever, I would suggest to better post this on the relevant sub-forum. As it is a server realted problem with the upload of the update, I am pretty sure either GOG or the game developers will fix this for you soon. Be patient and if there is no solution in the next few days, maybe write a mail to support directly.

1. Go into the Galaxy Client.
2. Go to ALL GAMES on your Client.
3. RIGHT-CLICK on the game.
4. Select Manage.
5. Click on Repair/Verify.

The bottom of the game icon will show a white bar scanning and verifying/fixing your game.
