Stupid-ass addictive game...

And after the patch, beat it on the 5th attempt.

That's not to say the game got nerfed. More like the level 5 Consolation Charger is a fairly badass shotgun that doesn't cause self-damage. Like the last uber win, the Precise mod was both good and bad: lots of damage against bosses but losing the spread effect made other parts tougher, like shooting down those flying pellet guns. Only found two chances to buy items so I ended up with 900+ coins.

Late to the party... 137 tries? WOW I feel like a pro-gamer now! I did it in 60 :P I did it with the Junkman perk and the pan-flute gun. I haven't gotten close to beating the game again since...

Love this game nonetheless... it has been one of those games that I keep going back to .

Once you get the hang of it and can beat it with fair regularity, try Endless mode. My best is around level 31 or 32 and by that time the robots and their weapons are so quick - and the weapon damage high enough - that it is constant button mashing and mouse maneuvering and when you do die you'll wonder what got you so fast. You get a couple new rooms, too, with sort of in-between bosses outside of Sanctum.

I'm at 98% completion, with only two perks - Nightmare and Lifeline - yet to fulfill. Lifeline should be easy with the right weapon. Nightmare? Dunno what that will take. I tried it once or twice and it's certainly tougher.

Peas and Carrots gun was tough and I only got that weapon cleared because I found a special weapon on one of my runs and used that one instead in the Sanctum and Crow's Nest boss fights. Peas and Carrots isn't too bad if you choose Taco Terror (level 6 gun) and get one of the better weapon add-ons.

Noticed something, when watching closely the 'floor summary' you get after you beat that floor boss:

There seems to be a secret place in Hugbot Alley, since your total Secrets Found percentage goes down a point or two after you exit Hugbot Alley. I've searched all over and can't find it.

There might also be a secret hidden in The Crow's Nest but I keep forgetting to monitor that number before and after.
