May I ask why you updated TA in the first place? Did you do any adjustments to compatibilities or the MP3 soundtrack?

The build was updated yesterday. It should now launch correctly on Windows XP.

It sits in the processes list, but doesn't go any further.

Installer, it appears in the process list, but hangs from then on.

P.S. Thanks for putting the time in to get things sorted so rapidly.

EDIT: It's not so important that it works correctly for me, as I have a backup of the old installer. I'm mainly reporting issues in case it happens to everyone on xp.

I just downloaded and installed it on both x86 and x64 XP without problems. Something on your end must be giving you troubles.
