well I found the resting spot.
surprising that it's just a bunch of beds out in the middle of the street. o.O

In Fagus Cliff, you can rest by talking to Celia (Changing God Camp), this after you have "proven yourself" that is.
(Quite curious how it will be handled from that point).

Thanks. :-)
I found that answer online, too.

Thing is, I went with the interdemensional chic, so I didn't want to join the cult.

You can head to the Caravanserei, there's a small hostel of sorts there and you can rest there for 20 shins. You can rest at the Changing God cult without joining, but they charge twice as much.

Edit: Whoops, didn't read you'd already found it.

Thanks.

I did find that later.
I had only explored the circi carnival and the gov sector when I first posted, then later I was expencting a conventional inn inside a building.
I found it; it just is really weird that it's outdoors.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought all those open-air outdoor buildings were a bit weird. Does it never rain in Sagus or what?

I guess places like the "hostel" and the hospital (workshop?) were too small to get their own area, and making them outdoors meant not having to code in disappearing roofs or something...

Just note that resting can change things, most notably in the Underbelly or Sagus cliffs. It caused me to fail a (very minor) quest because the quest-giver was no longer around, and by the time I had done too much to be bothered to reload an earlier save (so I'll be extra careful next playthrough). Though I found that for changes to happen, AFAIK you have to have visited the area at least once before they change.

As this is the Ninth World we are talking about, there is no doubt some technical doodad to protect sleepers from bad weather.
When you look down the cliffs, you can see clouds from above.

As rain usually follows gravity, there probably is not much chance of rain in the city.

It's 20 shins per party member. Resting with the Cultists is going to be cheaper 90% of the time, since they charge a flat fee.

In both Act II and Act III you can unlock places to rest for free after completing certain quests.

My bad, I thought it was 20 for the whole team.

And now that I have completed the game...

I have not found ANY other "organisation" that it is actually possible to join. Then again, I did wipe one of them out (since they were pretty much evil), so maybe it's possible to join this one?

So AFAIK there are no detriments to joining CG's cult (even with Cal in the team, she doesn't appear to care really), but it appears to be the only way to get free rest/healing in Act I, and you get a decent discount on their (mostly useless) stuff.

Yeah I was really happy about finding those.

Still would've been nice if you joined the order of truth and they let you rest in their building for free, to match the cultists rest for free thing.
