Axios2011: Only another thing: retail version had no DRM at all, so I don't think that Gog had removed DRM. The only program present in retail version was "encore registation remainder" but isn't a DRM....

nazosan: I don't really understand why they'd use it, but they appear to have taken the Steam version. You'll note there is a "steam_api.dll" file in there as well. I have to admit that in my mind at least, that file does not belong in any GoG release... Thus I guess it is some sort of DRM version with the DRM disabled in a manner that probably isn't as reliable as it should be given that we're getting crashes from using even the very simplest of mods. (Seriously, I had one that replaced one texture file and the game still crashed just from that...)

I hope they will fix this soon. There are some excellent mods for Torchlight and that's kind of part of what you're buying when you buy the game. Cutting that out is like buying only half the game.
"steam_api.dll" was added in patch 1.15 for add Steam achievements and Steam Cloud. The file is present also in Retail version. Runic is a small company so I think that they have a unique version of the game. Obviously in retail version Steam API doesn't work.

However I think that Gog will release a patch very soon.
I'd just like a confirmation by one of the team, on the forum, that the issue is being handled.

adamzs: Good news. GOG support told me the issue was temporary and they're working on a fix.
Good to know. :D
And now there's an update on the game's download page. Haven't tried it yet, but my guess is it addresses the mod issue.

The description is "improved compatibility with mods". :)

Silly me, how could I miss that? Well, that's good news either way.

Thanks for the patch GOG!
Thanks. After trying few nods, they are working correctly, but some disables the ferret pet. BTW, after solving all issues, the installer will be updated?
anyone get the multi-player mod to work?

That one is the most important one

I though I only works with steam version. Let's hope I was wrong
So has this been figured out?

I've recently started playing, but some minor inconsistencies are present.

In Game TorchLight version is: v1.15

Setup Downloader: setup_torchlight_1.0.2.10
Patch (for mods): patch_gogtorchlight_1.0.1.8

The patch it seems insists the game is already updated and won't patch it... meaning...??

The installer version is from GOG's own internal versioning system and has nothing to do with game version. 1.x.x.x are old installers (pre windows 8) and GOG is in process of updating everything to new 2.x.x.x installers (have already forgotten the difference, they started updating long ago.) Witcher 2 installer version is 3.x.x.x or something but that's special case as it's their sister company's product.

I don't know why the patch is still up even tought the installer is newer version. Maybe someone should point that out to support so they get rid of it (this is not the first time they've forgotten something, they're human after all).

Can't say anything about GOG's torchlight as while I own it in GOG too, the version I have installed is from Humble store.
