Don't know if this will win the deal for tomorrow or not (I'm guessing not personally) but, either way, it'll obviously see a discount which is, as usual, pretty nicely bundled with a few extra goodies.

Anyway, this is a heads up for the people that don't necessarily need the game to be DRM-free but are still interested in picking it up.

If you belong in that group then you can actually pre-order the sequel coming out soon off of Steam for £15 / whatever that is in your respective currency and receive the first game for free.

Thought it would be food for thought as it's what I'll be doing seeing as this one looks amazing and the sequel looks like it could be even better with multiplayer support!

Nice of GOG to add these either way though. This Battle of the Games has been really good and this is a pretty cool way to top it off. The Chronicles of Riddick will be my last purchase out of several now.
This is fantastic. Runic is a really awesome company and it's awesome to see them putting their money where their mouth is and taking a chance like this by making their game DRM free. I already have this on Steam but i'll be getting it again on GoG and recommending that folks in my guild do so in order to support them taking these kinds of chances.

Already have the pre-order on Steam...even tho you get a copy of Torchlight with it, PLEASE support Runic by getting this great game from GoG! Hopefully this will help convince other developers to make their games DRM free, too.

I love GoG! and Runic!
I actually DIDN'T pick Torchlight up because of the DRM, but I'll be grabbing it now. I hope that the second game will make it here, too, online co-op and all.

Ditto. God, I am sooooo excited :3 Though I don't quite understand why the minimum system requirements listed here are so high compared to those found on Torchlight's Steam page. How incredibly strange.

I'm the same. As much as I am looking forward to the sequel I won't be getting it on Steam. I am not one of those "Stem is Evil" or "DRM is the Devils Work" people. I am, however, reluctant to use them if I don't have to. For this game, I don't have to.

This was the fourth time I bought TORCHLIGHT! I like ot that much. hahaha.
First time I picked it up because I love FATE.
Second Time I pocked it up so Mum could have a copy as well.
Third time was the Retail version mostly in impulse as it was $5 in a local game store and I thought it would be nice to have it.. This version was also DRM I'm pretty sure.
Also, Ferret!
NOW I just bought it from the promo on here.

GOG has pretty much become my "backup / Insurance" for the vast majority of my games. To have Torchlight right here with all my other GOG games really is a good feeling. GOG gets more money. Runic get more money, I get a much easier to access version of the game.

Just hope the Mod thing gets resolved. :(

.. actually I just realised this is the 5th time I've bought the game. I have the xbox360 version as well. sheesh. Fanboi much? gawd.
It goes on sale so often so many places for so much less, but I went ahead and got my GoG backup copy anyway. It can't be helped. I just hope my GoG backup is eventually mod-compatible, though.
I'm pretty sure they'll get the mod thing sorted out quickly this coming week. If not, and if you don't get feedback from them, then you have my permission to spam their Support inbox until they tell you they're working on it. ;-)
Damnation! Never thought Torchlight would see the light in GOG, but its not a dream. I have it on steam but never bothered to install it because of my restrictive internet but now its DRM free and with GOG? FTW!
That's a shame the mods aren't working here yet.

Got the Steam version so I have the second game pre-ordered too and I find the mods pretty great for this game as several attempt to re-balance certain aspects of it which I find could otherwise sour the experience ever so slightly.

Put about 6 hours in so far, which isn't a lot, and I'm already pretty stoked for the second game considering the number of ways Runic seem to have went out there way to "perfect" it.
Hmmm, I own torchlight DVD, and there is way more than 400 odd MegaBytes on disc.

Is this the full game? Anything missing?

Still, at that price, I would love a DRM -Free copy :-)
I imagine the retail box includes the level editor on the disc, which would increase the amount of data on the disc substantially.
Gog's estimate of 400-ish MB is just the game itself; the level editor is a separate install.

For example I have 3 copies of Torchlight: retail, Steam and Gog. I bought TL on Gog 5 minutes after the release and I voted it in Battle of Games. I also bought Torchlight 2 on Steam but if it will arrive on Gog, I will buy too after 5 minutes from its release on Gog!

I have only 2, retail and GOG. My philosophy is to support nice developers and publishers. :)

I hope Torchlight 2 will arrive eventually on GOG because I don't do Steam. I'm considering buying it directly from Runic.

BTW do you know about Grim Dawn? If not I think you will like it.

I'm glad to see TL here on GOG and picked up a 2nd copy in addition to my DRM-free boxed retail copy.

I hope that they do put out a DRM-free version of TL2, but, by all counts and discussions in the Runic forums, they're taking a pretty strong "no matter what, we're releasing it with DRM and there will be no DRM-free versions" stance. (They rationalize this by "it's weak DRM" which is just BS. DRM is DRM.)
