I've purchased TR1-3 from GOG and had very little issues with getting my controller to work with the first two games. I use JoyToKey to manually map buttons and the previous two games synced up fine with this program, but I've run into issues with TR3 now.

Not sure if it's intended, but when I hold the 'walk' button, it seems to quickly register between on and off. Lara will run while I'm holding the button, then start to walk, then start running again, ad nauseum.

This happens both with my keyboard AND controller and I can't seem to figure out why. It just seems like the 'walk' button isn't registering properly. Anyone have ideas?

You should provide more information about your system (OS, hardware, etc.).

Does the problem occur when the controller is plugged off?
Does the problem occur when JoyToKey is not running?
Is the "Joystick Adapter" enabled or disabled in the game setup?

When I tested it without the controller, it persisted, same with the adapter enabled/disabled and JoyToKey not running. In fact, even with the adapter enabled and the specific controller selected, the only part of my controller that is recognized by the game is the left joystick. (It's an off-brand controller, some obscure manufacturer.)

I've discovered what my issue is though.
The first two games work in a way that, when holding 'walk', I could use the joystick to move without fail.
The third game seems to require using the directional pad while holding walk, otherwise Lara will ignore the walk function unless walking in a directly straight line. Any slight turn will break her into a run.

I'm curious if this is because of my button mapping or if it is just the way the game is coded.
Try turning off numlock. That worked for me.
