As the title says, whenever I start to play Tomb Raider 2 (in hardware mode. Software mode works just fine) the graphics flicker between game screen and a black screen. That doesn't apply with 3 for some reason. Both games however have weird graphical glitches. Some polygons leave trails, don't show up at all etc. The framerate in TR2 is also godawful. Even in the menu screen. This again doesn't happen in TR3. The framerate is just fine in TR3.
I have tried messing with different options in both games, tried different resolutions, tried enabling and disabling triple buffer and all the other options available and nothing seems to work. The end result might be a little different but it still is unplayable.
The first Tomb Raider works perfectly though.
Oh, I have nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS with latest drivers running on win xp if that info helps.
I had same problem.

it has problems with latest drivers. I found out that using older drivers worked. the drivers I used was around the 260 series.

fyi.....windows 7 doesnt seem to have this issue with latest drivers

Thanks for the info!

I hope that GOG would someday fix the games so that those under XP don't have to revert to using older drivers.

Has anyone found a way to fix this problem (without reverting the drivers)?

I updated Tomb Raider with the GOG patch. It made the situation a little better, but it's still practically unplayable (TR2 doesn't flicker between gamescreen and blackscreen anymore. Other graphic glitches I mentioned are still there though).

I installed the patch and mine is flickering horribly on my XP computer, can't even play.
