So I checked. The second track is the main menu music, tracks 3 to 6 are ambient music and the rest are just dialogues. I wish mine was different . ;D
I have the CD somewhere (It's the sold out software release) and I can confirm that there is no music in the PC version.
I want to buy this so badly but I don't think I could bring myself to play the game without music. I've beat the ps1 version multiple times as well as the sega saturn version and even the japanese saturn version and the music is so important in this game to me. It only plays once or twice a level but when it does it sure adds to the atmosphere. If anyone has the know how to hex edit the exe for this you would be doing the community a HUGE service :)
You do yourself a massive disservice if you don't play TR1 with it's brilliant music. Luckily, I got the TR1 PC CD and used tr1ub_16 to install and play TR1 brilliantly on my PC with all its music. I'd forgotten how great the music is, Nathan McCree made Tomb Raider even better.
i sure am hoping that somebody can figure out how to add the music to the gog version of tomb raider one. i really want to play the p.c. version but i just can't do it without the epic music.

I've always liked how TR1 didn't have any nonsense playing in the background. Music does not make you feel like you're alone in the wilderness with a T-Rex.

EDIT: I will watch videos to see how high-quality the music is, but I doubt that it's worth sacrificing the ambience.

The short music only plays at key locations such as when you enter a large colosseum or come across a puzzle room, you'll perhaps only get 1 or 2 pieces of short music during a whole level, but it adds alot to the game, with its collection of choir/instrumental music, it adds to the mystery of the areas you're in, makes it more of a spectacle. Tomb Raider(s) wouldn't have been half as wonderful without the haunting music I think.
No solution for Tomb Raider 1 GOG version - background music?

So there is no way and get the background music in Tomb Raider 1 (GOG version)? Sad;(

I bought the game from GOG.com this page and it's not background music. (Tomb 1) Disappointing ... Why does not the background music in Tomb Raider 1 GOG version?

Help please...

Follow the instructions in this thread to add the music from the Playstation version to the PC version:

Is there no XP version for this?? :(
Glidos v1.52 has just been released. It should now work with the GOG and Steam versions out of the box. You just have to select from the main Glidos dialog which version of the game you are using. And the audio pack is built in now, so there is no extra download.
