Is this a game bug or error, or a misunderstanding of game mechanics or something to do with control scheme? If it is a game bug or glitch, I can't help you but you could try contacting Support.

Is this the one early in the game? I had to repeatedly press E in quick succession for her to pull it (simply pressing or pressing and holding did nothing)
