Hi!
Either Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary keeping crashing even after I applied the Data Execution Prevention fix. At first (with my incursion on this trilogy starting by Legend) I've solved it putting Compatibility Mode with Windows 7 on the executable. This probes wrong later on... At least I could beat it with no much trouble.
Then I reached to Anniversary and the same problem happens; crashing on start. I tried the same fix than before but this time it wouldnt work. So I tried to replicate every step I've made with Legend and then I realize something... Because I followed every fix listed on PCGamingWiki I've created a backup of the original exe with the option of "custom executables" that offers GOG Galaxy. I duplicated the configuration and it worked!
The exact instructions are that follows:
-Create a copy of the game exe (I'd name it trlBackup.exe/traBackup) and leave alone the original. We don't need it anymore
-Select the .exe on the Data Execution Prevention menu.
-Add this .exe as a new executable and made it the default option.
-You're done to play.
I know that it seems silly (and it may be) but after try a lot of internet-founded fixes this worked for me not once but twice.
PD: I don't know if it will works the same way with the third part: Underworld. I'll update the post when I find out.
PD2: I'm running it on a Windows 10 Pro with an i7-10700K, 16GB DDR4 RAM and a Asus GTX1080 (too lame I know).
PD3: Finally I've tried the third game; Underworld and at first seemed to work but the second time I'd tried to launch it goes nuts. So the same fix applies here too. It works now
