I was getting no textures until i used voodoo 2. in voodoo 2 I had to use an ATI radeon 8500 video card. That seemed to fix it.

also, try disabling AGP Memory in setup.

I highly suggest to use "Software mode" instead of Hardware Acceleration. To me, it fixed nearly everything graphically related, such as game crashes when you try to change the game resolution or gamma.
