Is it me being really bad at the game or does DOSBOX not allow multiple key presses? Basically i have an issue when trying to do a running jump the game won't do it.

I do not have this issue in either T2 and T3 so that makes me wonder is this a problem within dosbox? or is the timing slightly different in T1?

The timing for the "long jumps" is exactly the same in all TR first trilogy titles. So, no, you are having some kind of problem there -it seems, as you say, that either dos-box or compatibility issues don't allow you multiple key bindings.

Okay i'll see what i can do it could be as simple as me hitting the wrong key on my small laptop keyboard lol thank you for your response i'll practice with the game and see if it was simply me hitting the windows key or something :P
Is it only when you try to do a running jump mid-run or after you've already walked to the edge and lined up? If it's the former then Tomb Raider 1 has an issue where, when you jump, the full running animation has to play out and it results in an inconsistent delay before the jump happens. TR2 onwards fixed that. If it's the latter than it's definitely something else.

Actually your right that is when the issue seems to happen, thank you for that it's very annoying and has caused me too die a couple of times >.>
Unfortunately the closest thing to a way around it is to get a feel for which part of Lara's animation cycle is when she jumps and try to time your jumping so it corresponds with that point.
