This game is absolutely stunning I must say! I already played TRD1 but I wasn't even nearly this impressed! Anyway, there's a few minor problems with the game that do not ruin my gameplay, but are sure worthy of noting:
- I use XP SP2, and I have XP skin on silver as window skin - when I start the game though, it always turns back into the default blue skin, and I have to change the settings after I exited the game
- the framerate is good, but the team radio is sometimes a bit laggy, gets stuck, etc. etc., and so sometimes it is really uncomprehensible what it's saying
- when I'm in the middle of a championship, if I click on Load / Save button, the game enters an empty sub-menu which goes nowhere - the only way to get out of it is exit the game through Windows
- the penalties given to cutting tracks are really weird, there were times when I slipped off, lost 4 or so positions and I got a warning because I supposedly earned time : there were also times when I earned 3 positions with a cut and got nothing for it
This is all that came to my mind now - the game is not perfect but it really is amazing!

Yeah, I've got the same problems. It's really weird.
I get the same problem here most of the time when the race ends. it pauses for a few secs but not bad.
loving the Game

I have this same problem. The game seems to auto save after every race, so I don't bother going into this option.
Well i've got none of these issues. The game is rock solid for me. A great game without a doubt.

Yup - me too.

Go with Saber's hint - there's really no need to save manually, as the game autosaves nicely. It's baffling that those glaring bugs were never fixed (they're in the original retail, too, as far as I remember), but they are avoidable.

The skin issue might be the result of the settings within the compatibility menu for the gogwrap.exe or whatever the game's executable file may be. If you open up the compatibility menu for either of those files look for a checkbox marked "Disable visual themes" see if you can uncheck it and run the game without any problems.
